Gareth Ramsay has been involved with footwear since age 8. He got his start working in the stockroom of the family shoe business. This foundation and years of learning the trade led him and his siblings creating 888 Footwear & Fashion stores in 05’. He then moved to Stockholm,Sweden in 09’ and pursued other passions. Gareth spent a few years in the Food Industry where he eventually established Winston’s Eatery. His love of footwear has brought him back into the trade and he co-founded GEESTEP in 16’.
Jarod Grossberg is the marketing machine behind Geestep’s vision and graduated with Honours in Media and Communications and a qualified graphic designer. He worked as a designer for Crown Footwear to kick off his career in shoes where he progressed to key account manager. From there Jarod went on to Skye footwear to procure Converse and Dickies. He then moved into retail as the men’s buyer at Mr Price for 2 years, before going on to brand manager at Bata.
Roshal Ramdenee graduated with an MBA from Duke University. He formerly spent five years working in Principal Investments at RMB, across Sub-Saharan Africa, previous to which practising as an investment banking analyst in the UK and South Africa. During his time in Principal Investments, Roshal sourced, structured and executed transactions across a number of industries and was involved in several secondary market leveraged buyout restructures. He spent the summer of 2016 working on strategic initiatives and new business model development in Corporate Finance at Microsoft’s Gaming Division. He interned with Blackstone’s Portfolio Company CloudFactory. Roshal earned his undergraduate degree in Finance at the University of Cape Town, after which he completed the CFA program.
